Bailey's birth "history"

When I started this blog I said I would tell Bailey's story and Avery's story. So I will start with Bailey's story since she came first. Bailey was due to arrive on March 17, St. Patty's Day. I had planned on taking a couple weeks off work before Bailey was born, but on the day I was going to turn in my two weeks notice, my water broke the night before. That was on March 2nd around 2am. We lived in Germany on Sembach Air Force Base. It was about a 30 minute drive to St. Johannis Hospital. I had planned on having a water birth, but 7 hours into my labor I decided that was enough and I wanted an epidural! After another 11 hours, Bailey finally arrived at 7:04pm (12:04pm Arkansas time.) I remember crying because she FINALLY was here! I got to hold her the second she was born. Bryan and I were the first to touch and hold her. Bryan cut the cord and was the first to dress her. She weighed 6 pounds, 13 ounces and was 20 inches long. She had a head full of dark brown hair. We had a name picked out, but Bryan decided he did not like part of her middle name! So, it took a couple days for her to have an "official" name, Bailey Erin-Brooklynn.
